the superstars i've always wanted but never got.

was out shopping for ____ today. was strangely worn out by all the lessons today, including a math lesson that seemed to last for the longest time. my entire week is blown ! clogged up by speech day rehearsals on tuesday and friday (and maybe thursday, too) exco meeting on wednesday, speech day on saturday and studying at sentosa on sunday. yes SENTOSA. alright shant groan ! its busy, but God seems to sprinkle an even more generous portion of blessings in such times. (:

our seemingly short talk seemed to cover much, and it made me ponder about many things.

ever attempted to help someone who wasnt willing to help himself ? sounds weird doesnt it. its frustrating sometimes, how you try your best to help someone out by pointing out what theyre doing wrong and advising them to change, in the most tactful manner you can muster, and yet they brush you off without a thought. it makes us want to throw our hands up in the air and just forget about the entire notion of helping someone else altogether. i guess, things would be easier for us if we did that. i mean, why not ? its probably the most attractive escape route. washing our hands off that matter. well then again, what if we were the ones who'd been given up on ? then we'd lie in the dark for God knows how long, until we get to learn the lesson the hard way. thats not a pretty thought, i must say. i guess its that, and the possibility of a positive outcome that spurs us on to do what we know is right, what is good for that person. its definitely not easy, but i guess keeping those thoughts close and the hope for a good outcome despite seemingly bleak circumstances is something that could pull us through this gruelling task. and i wont give up. cuz God has spoken. and promised. and thats enough for me to bank on.

i like planning surprises, i'm just not good at it. urghhh.
