amor vincit omnia

I caught Moulin Rouge on cable as my little reward for pulling through this seemingly horridly long week. And its sucha beautiful, sweep-you-off-your-feet story. (Lemme rattle. I rarely get so enthralled.) Nicole Kidman is a really good actress (not to mention she's exquisitely beautiful) and Ewan Mcgregor has a really really good voice. Plus charm and lovely eyes ! Hee hee.

The ending was really tragic though. I cried. Baahhh. Guess the dreamer in me has superlow tolerance for sad endings.
I guess I really enjoy musicals. Or films that have a lot of singing in them. Cuz
1) The songs are usually really good. Like really really good.
2) They usually have very elaborate sets and very arty costumes and all
3) You get to see the multi-talented side of some Hollywood stars
:D Fun fact: I didnt hear Lady Marmalade play at any point in time of the show. (Thank God. It's so dumb/trashy.)
Politics are on the rise in school, and its.. interesting to be at the sidelines to see the things people do and say among varying groups of people. Truth be told, I still feel bad everytime I think of the incident on Monday, but it helped me see that I wasnt wrong to enter poly with low expectations (in this context) to begin with.
The flesh tires.
No school-related stuff for me tonight ! There are things way more important than impending assignments to think about.
I pray one day you'll understand.
